The Big 18 was a studio-only big band assembled by musical director Fred Reynolds in 1958 with the idea to showcase some of the star sidemen from the big band era.

With expert arrangements and solos written by Charles Shirley, and the incredible personnel line up featuring Buck Clayton, Billy Butterfield, Lou McGarity and many more!

18 tracks in stereo covering both albums 'Live Echoes of the Swinging Bands' and 'More Live Echoes of the Swinging Bands', with full discography of all the sessions between 10th and 15th July 1958.
