Firstly, perhaps as a warm up, or maybe just to test the balance, who knows? This session, which in all produced nine tracks for issue, began by spotlighting Damian with just bass and drums in bright and swinging mode on Johnny Mandell's "Sinbad The Tailor", an item which could not have been a better pointer to the wonderful quality and expertise of the jazz which was to follow in the four Sextet tracks.
